TSRA works with cities, government, legislators, and volunteers towards the protection, conservation, and restoration of watershed resources.
TSRA has been working to provide environmentally sound and user
friendly access points to rivers and water ways since 2006. Our goal is to have a safe public access about every five miles on Tennessee’s rivers, streams and lakes.
Our river adopters keep an eye on streams and rivers across Tennessee. Help us focus on protecting and improving a river near you –
or one that you love!
In 2019, Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association partnered with Sierra Club ICO Nashville to launch “Jack Lyle’s River Kids,” a new multi-year program made possible by the Jack Lyle Memorial Fund. Our mission is to introduce disadvantaged inner-city youth to the wonders of nature via paddle-sport.
When we're not focusing on conservation and access builds we like to teach new and upcoming paddlers skills both in paddling technique and water safety. TSRA offers several paddling clinics/schools from beginner to intermediate, flatwater to Class III whitewater.
Do you want to learn how to teach others to safely and enjoyably kayak on gentle rivers? Would you like to have the ability to proficiently demonstrate paddling skills and help new paddlers get started on a lifetime of safe paddling?
Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, #58-1746179.
