Rendezvous Trip Coordinator Incentive Program. This year we're trying something new!

As many of you are aware, Rendezvous can't happen without support from the experienced  paddlers in the club. 

Additionally, each year we ask to see a show of hands of 'first timers' at the event. Very often it  comprises nearly 50% of the attendees! 

A not so pleasant fact is that we frequently have difficulty drumming up enough Trip  Coordinators for the event. Trips may consist of both river and hiking and must comprise a  minimum of 6 individuals 

Often, we do end up finding enough Coordinators, however, it usually isn't without some dramaand 11th hour arm twisting. We’re trying to eliminate this unnecessary chaos.

So, here’s where the NEW comes into play. We're not above trying to 'bribe' some of you to  come out of the woodwork. Yeah, you heard me right, BRIBE! 

This is how it works: 

1. For each person that volunteers to LEAD a trip we will reward you with 3 'additional' raffle  tickets for EACH trip you lead on Thur/Fri/Sat for the grand prize drawing of a Jackson Kayak! 2. Contact Jim Mazzola to get your name on the Trip Coordinator list PRIOR to April 1st.NOTE: If you're not on this list, you will NOT BE eligible for any of the incentives listed below!Also, being on the list DOES NOT guarantee you additional raffle tickets. You must indicate  either a specific run, or level of run you are prepared to coordinate AND which day(s).You MUST LEAD a trip to secure your extra raffle tickets. 

3. You may designate ONE 'Support Boater' for each of your trips and they will be entitled to 1  'additional' ticket for each trip they assist you with. (If your trip ends up being larger than 12  people, you will be entitled to designate 2 Support Boaters. The Trip Coordinator must identify  the Support Boater(s) with Jim Mazzola. The Support Boater does not have to register in  advance. 

4. In ADDITION, each day, each Trip Coordinators will be put into a hat, and we will draw 1 namefor each day. They will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. To be fair, if you win on Thursday, you  will not be eligible to win a second time. We're trying to spread the love over a larger audience,  and it simply isn't fair for one person to win all three Amazon cards. You WILL, however, still  receive 3 additional raffle tickets each day for leading a trip. See Jim Mazzola for your tickets. 

5. The trip details MUST be posted the night before in the Wigwam. (Remember we have a LOT  of new paddlers, some of which are their FIRST experience with clubs and organized runs, I  know it was for me.) You must include the meeting time and location, the difficulty of the run,  skills required, i.e. other runs you’d like to see completed beforehand. And if possible, be  present that evening for those that would like to discuss the run. I will be running the  <rivers.run> app Wed-Fri in the Wigwam showing people how to use the features of it.
