TSRA Auctions 101

When is the Rendezvous auction?
There are actually two! The silent auction starts Friday evening in the dining hall and runs through Saturday evening. The live auction kicks off in the Wigwam after Saturday dinner.

What kind of items will there be?
Items range from paddling and outdoor gear to handcrafted art to weekend getaways…and everything in between. Auction items are donated by individuals, outfitters, fellow paddlers, outdoor enthusiasts, and sometimes anonymous donors.

Can I shop early?
Some of our hottest items will be featured on our Facebook page prior to Rendezvous weekend and on a photo display in the Wigwam during the event.

How do I pay?
You can pay for your auction items with cash, check or debit/credit card.

Can I donate items?
Yes! We need donations of all kinds. If you have new, large or especially valuable items, you can email Vinson Dill with the details. Otherwise, bring your items to the registration table and include a short written description with estimated value and the donor’s name. Event volunteers will determine whether your item(s) will go in the live or silent auction.

What if I have items to sell?
If you have personal items to sell or trade, please do that outside of auction times. Boats can be placed on the Wigwam porch with details and contact info attached.

What are the proceeds from the auctions used for?
The Rendezvous event and auctions are TSRA’s biggest fundraiser. Money raised benefits river conservation and river access, and makes it possible for the volunteer-run organization to provide schools, clinics and many other benefits to its members.
