Registration

Registration is closed

November 16th, 2024, Narrows of the Harpeth to Harris Street Bridge, 5.45 miles, (Class I).

On every 3rd Saturday of each month TSRA will coordinate a Flatwater to Class 1 paddle trip. Location will be determined a week or two out by a trip coordinator and updated on the calendar. This is a common adventurer trip. Among the responsibilities, members of Common Adventure groups keep an eye out for one another. Because of the open, democratic environment, it is the responsibility of those intending to participate in a Common Adventure trip to be honest with themselves and other trip participants regarding their skill level and experience. Basic paddling skills, training and gear are a prerequisite for all registrants. Life Jackets (PFD) will be worn at all times on the water. No alcohol during the trip. These trips will all be weather dependent. If conditions are too harsh, we will reschedule as needed.

For the next four consecutive 3rd Saturday paddles we will try to paddle as much of the full length of the Harpeth River State Park, 40 miles total, as possible. I usually divide this area into five sections so we will paddle four of the five starting November through February. Come paddle as many sections as you would like or all. I will be posting which section and itinerary each month.

I plan this year to paddle these sections in reverse order starting first at the Narrows and going upstream from there section by section.

This will be winter paddling, so preparation and proper gear are essential. Give me a call if you are new to cold weather paddling and need to discuss preparation and gear. These trips will all be weather dependent. If conditions are too harsh, we will reschedule as needed.
