On every 3rd Saturday of each month TSRA will be leading a Flatwater to Class 1 paddle trip. Location will be determined a week or two out and updated on the calendar. Basic paddling skills, training and gear are a prerequisite for all registrants. Life Jackets (PFD) will be worn at all times on the water. No alcohol during trip. These trips will all be weather dependent. If conditions are too harsh, we will reschedule as needed.

TSRA 3rd Saturday_ Red River

We will paddle approximately 11 river miles from Porters Chapel Public River Access to Hwy 41 bridge in Adams TN at the public access next to the Red River Canoe Rental entrance.

Meet at the put in at the Porters Chapel Access at 9:00 am Saturday May 21st.

The put in is located on the Porters Chapel Public River Access

3036 Porters Chapel Rd, Adams TN 37010.

The takeout is in front of Red River Canoe Rental

8002 Old Hwy 41 N, Adams, TN 37010.

Directions to put in:

Take I-24 north to Exit 11 (Adams). Go east on Hwy 76 for approximately 11 miles to Adams. In Adams turn left on S Church St. Go approximately 0.5 mile to Hwy 41. Turn right on Hwy 41 and go approximately 1000ft and turn left on Keysburg Rd. Go approximately 2.5 miles and turn right on Hugh Gill Rd. Go approximately 3.4 miles to Porters Chapel Public Access. The access is just before a right turn onto Porters Chapel Rd which crosses over the Red River. The access is down stream of the bridge.

Directions to take out:

Travel back to Hwy 41. Turn right. Go approximately 1.4 mile and turn left into the Red River Canoe Rental. The public access is about 1500 ft at the river ramp access. It is located just outside the entrance of Red River Canoe Rental.

Registration fees:

This is a common adventure paddle with no fee.
