This trip is Moved up one week to Saturday May 10.
On every 3rd Saturday of each month TSRA will be leading a Flatwater to Class 1 paddle trip. Location will be determined a week or two out and updated on the calendar. Basic paddling skills, training and gear are a prerequisite for all registrants. Life Jackets (PFD) will be worn at all times on the water. No alcohol during trip. These trips will all be weather dependent. If conditions are too harsh, we will reschedule as needed.
TSRA 3rd Saturday_ Buffalo River
We will paddle 8.5 river miles from Metal Ford to Voorhies Bridge.
Meet at the put in on the Buffalo River at the Metal Ford Historic Site at 9:00 am Saturday May 10th.
The put in is located on the Natchez Trace Parkway just south of the Meriwether Lewis Monument and campground site where the Natchez Trace Parkway crosses the Buffalo River. The site is on the right (due south) just after you cross the river bridge.
Directions to put in:
Take I65 south out of Nashville.
Take Exit 46 – Hwy. 412 West. Go through Columbia toward Hohenwald.
When you get to the Natchez Trace Parkway exit and travel due South.
Follow the Trace pass the Meriwether Lewis Monument at about the 5th mile and then go another 2 miles to the Metal Ford Historic Site on the right after you cross the Buffalo River Bridge.
We will meet in the parking area.

This is a common adventure paddle with no fee.
