On every 3rd Saturday of the month from March through October TSRA will be leading a Class I paddle trip. Location will be determined a week or two out and updated on the calendar. Basic paddling skills, training, and gear are a prerequisite for all registrants. Life Jackets (PFD) will be worn at all times on the water. No alcohol during trip.

We will paddle 6 river miles from the put in at Piney River Rd access

to take out at Pinewood Canoe Camp Livery
(Cash Hollow Rd access, 35.89026, -87.48372)
Meet at the Pinewood Canoe & Camp LLC at 10:00 a.m. ready to shuttle.
You must bring $10 cash per person for the livery for river access and parking.
Bring lunch and drinks.
Directions to (take out) at Pinewood Canoe & Camp LLC.

Take I40 West to Exit 163.
Turn left, go South on Hwy 48 for approximately 7 miles.
Turn right on Cash Hollow Rd. (See sign for Pinewood Canoe Camp).
Travel approximately 1 mile to Pinewood Canoe Camp.
Directions to put in (Pinewood livery property access):
Travel back to Hwy 48.
Turn left, go North on Hwy 48 for approximately 1.8 miles.
Turn right on Piney River Rd. go approximately 1.7 miles to entrance to Pinewood Canoe Camp access. The entrance is about 1/8 mile past the bridge over the Piney River. The river access is actually on Big Spring Creek tributary just downstream from the bridge.
Registration fees:
TSRA members no TSRA fee.
ACA members no ACA fee.
TSRA non-members $10 TSRA fee.
ACA non-members $10 ACA fee.
If you like us and think you will join us on future trips we can apply the $10 TSRA fee towards a TSRA membership and paddle next time with no TSRA registration fee.
