*We suggest water wicking poly active wear that sheds moisture but retains body heat; typically in cooler water we wear a base layer of poly underwear; a long sleeve poly active T, active pants, and a windbreaker/rain jacket; water-shoes or water sandals with wool socks (your feet will be in the water). We also suggest a towel and a change of clothes. Warmer weather still needs poly wear shorts and short sleeve t shirts. Sources for active-wear/paddling clothes include REI, Walmart, Dick’s Sports, Ross, Academy Sports (and Goodwill). No need to spend big bucks. Walmart has water shoes for $5 and lots of poly clothing.
